Regional Guide

The Mediterranean Theatre

Nowhere else on earth offers this density of distinct cultures, cuisines, and maritime history compressed into a single navigable basin.

Operational Realities

The Mediterranean charter season is highly compressed (May to October). Outside this window, base operators pull vessels for winter refit, and maritime infrastructure effectively shuts down.

The Myth of "Light Winds"

While the Med can suffer from glassy lulls in August, localized wind phenomena are violent. The Meltemi in the Aegean, the Bora in the Adriatic, and the Mistral off France routinely exceed 35 knots and can develop with less than 6 hours warning.
