The Anti-Broker Brokerage

Stop Guessing.
Start Sailing.

The charter industry thrives on opacity. We dismantle it. Real-time availability, stark pricing realities, and zero tolerance for subpar vessels.

The market is flooded with heavily-filtered photographs of ten-year-old hulls.

Booking a catamaran shouldn't feel like a leap of faith.

Most agencies act as glorified directories, passing your details to the highest bidder while offering zero accountability for the actual condition of the boat you arrive at.

Catamaray operates differently. We track maintenance records, monitor refit schedules, and strictly filter out operators who compromise on safety or standards. If a vessel isn't objectively excellent, it's not in our portfolio.

Charter Execution Formats

Understand exactly what you are contracting. No marketing fluff, just the structural reality of how these vessels are operated.

Format Responsibility Cost Structure Best For
BareboatRequirements You are the Master. Total liability for navigation, vessel safety, and provisioning. Base charter + Security Deposit + Fuel + Mooring. Licensed sailors (RYA Day Skipper / ICC minimum).
SkipperedDetails Hired professional assumes maritime liability. You dictate the itinerary within safety limits. Bareboat + Skipper Fee (€200-250/day) + Skipper Provisioning. Competent crew lacking formal licences, or those seeking local knowledge.
Fully CrewedDetails Permanent crew (Captain + Chef/Stew). Total service execution. Base Fee + APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance, usually 20-30%). Zero-friction luxury; corporate retreats; complex itineraries.

Class Categories

We categorize our fleet strictly by architectural volume and performance metrics, not abstract marketing terms.

Examine Fleet Specifications

Sub-45ft Catamarans

Agile, manageable footprints ideal for tight Mediterranean anchorages. Typically 4 cabins.

  • Benchmark: Lagoon 42, Fountaine Pajot Astrea 42
  • Avg. Weekly Base: €4,500 - €8,500

45-52ft Cruisers

The sweet spot of volume and performance. Significant upgrade in payload capacity for watermakers and gensets.

  • Benchmark: Lagoon 46, Leopard 50
  • Avg. Weekly Base: €8,000 - €15,000

Performance Cats

Daggerboards, carbon rigging, high bridge deck clearance. For those who prioritize VMG over cabin volume.

  • Benchmark: Outremer 51, Nautitech 46 Open
  • Avg. Weekly Base: €9,000 - €18,000

55ft+ Luxury

Massive volume requiring professional crew. Flybridges equivalent to apartment terraces.

  • Benchmark: Sunreef 60, Lagoon Sixty 5
  • Avg. Weekly Base: €25,000+ (plus APA)

Common Miscalculations

It depends entirely on the jurisdiction. In the Mediterranean (Croatia, Greece, Spain), an ICC or explicitly recognized national equivalent is strictly mandatory by maritime police. In the Caribbean, a detailed sailing resume is often sufficient for bareboat, though formal certification is increasingly requested by insurers.

The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is a standard escrow fund (usually 20-30% of the base charter fee) used by the Captain to purchase fuel, food, dockage, and customs fees on your behalf. It is entirely transparent; you receive all receipts at the end, and unspent funds are returned in cash. Read our full APA breakdown.

Almost unilaterally, standard charter contracts prohibit night sailing (navigation between sunset and sunrise) unless explicitly cleared by the base manager due to extreme weather rerouting. If you require offshore passage making, you need a different class of charter and insurance rider.
